A final step in the mechanical prototype process was to design boxes to hold the various electronic components. Specifically, boxes were needed to hold the Arduino board, battery board, battery and motor controller. These components were separated to improve wire routing and weight distribution. The battery and battery board are to be placed in the lowest box. Next, a box was designed for the motor controller, placed directly above the battery box. Finally, the box for the arduino board was placed higher up on the crutch, closer to the other peripherals. The boxes were 3D printed and the electronics were attached to them using Dual Lock, a strong velcro like material.
